Both the American Oak and Victorian Ash options are made out of two pieces glued together to get the required width, due to timber availability, which differs ever so slightly to the photographs in the listing. We include four adhesive rubber mounts that you can place on the underside of your Deluxe Bath Board at the appropriate measurements for your bath.
As each piece of timber is completely unique, we have created two variations to reflect timber that is more clean in style or timber that has rich and diverse features. Below is a brief summary of what you may likely expect with each variation, however please understand that each piece of timber is unique and will vary in colour and grain to those in the photos.
Clean - Timber selected for these boards often have less variation in colour and grain. There are minimal gum veins, knots or features.
Feature Rich - Timber selected for these Deluxe Bath Boards have many varied features in the grain, such as knots, holes, fiddleback markings and gum veins. It has a more rustic style and often features clear resin to fill holes and cracks.
Please note that all our timber is hand selected for each shelf, however as Victorian Ash timber is a natural material it will vary in both colour and grain to the photos above. Features of Victorian Ash include fiddleback markings and visible gum veins. The timber may also range from a pale straw colour to a slight pink tone to a golden hue. As with all natural materials, Victorian Ash is affected by light and overtime the character and colour will change slightly. These natural features are a unique and beautiful characteristic of the timber. Please also keep in mind timber can expand and contract due to varying temperature and environmental conditions in your home.
